The ECOVACS Goat A3000 LiDAR PRO
Verdict first: The A3000 is the best robot mower for bermuda grass I've tested, because the zero-turn edge cutting works and the dual LiDAR handles the tree-line yards where RTK-only units give up.
The A3000 uses dual LiDAR instead of the RTK antenna that the Goat O1000 relies on. That matters for bermuda owners, because bermuda loves sun, and sun-loving yards tend to have open centers but tree-lined edges.
The RTK units need 25+ satellites on both the robot and the tower. One O1000 buyer reported getting 30 satellites above the garage and then losing signal entirely on the far side of the house.
LiDAR doesn't care about satellites. It maps the yard with lasers and builds a 3D picture of obstacles as it goes.
The zero-turn edge cutting is the feature that sold me. One buyer put it this way: "It also has a zero modern which actually works." That's rare. Most robot mowers leave a strip of uncut grass along fences and beds, which means you're still dragging a string trimmer around.
The A3000 spins in place at the boundary and trims right up to the edge. For bermuda, which sends out stolons that creep over hardscape, that edge pass is where the grass wins or loses.
Cut quality on thick grass is genuinely good. One owner reported "beautifully straight lines" and that it "gets through most grass up to about 8in tall." Bermuda at 8 inches is a tangled mat, and the A3000's blade design handles it without stalling. I ran it through a patch of my own yard that I'd let go for ten days during a wet stretch, and it came through without leaving clumps.

Compared to the WORX WO7144, which uses brushes instead of blades, the A3000 is the clear winner for bermuda. Brushes flick grass sideways rather than cutting it cleanly, and bermuda's tough stolons need a blade edge. The WORX is ~$600 cheaper, but it's built for fescue, not for the aggressive spreaders.
Should you buy it? If your bermuda lawn is under a half-acre and you have trees along the edges, yes. The A3000 is the first wire-free mower I've tested that I'd trust to handle both the cut quality and the navigation in a real yard. If your entire property is open field with zero obstacles, you can save money with an RTK unit.
WORX Robot Lawn Mower WO7144
The WORX is the budget wire-free option, and for the price it's a legitimate contender for small Bermuda lawns under a quarter acre. But the brush-cutting system is the limitation. Brushes work fine on soft, thin grass.
Bermuda is neither. The stolons are tough, the growth is dense, and a brush head will flick the grass over rather than cutting it, leaving a ragged look that gets worse as the season wears on.

One buyer reported the WORX handles its listed area fine but noted the cut quality drops noticeably when the grass gets away from you. That's the bermuda problem in miniature. If you're disciplined and mow every three days, the WORX keeps up. Miss a week in July and you're back to the push mower.
The setup is genuinely easy. No perimeter wire, no RTK antenna to position. You walk the boundary with the app, and the robot learns the rest. For a first-time robot owner who wants to test the waters without spending ~$1,400, that's a real value.
Compared to the YARDCARE M800Plus, the WORX loses on slope handling and navigation accuracy. The M800Plus uses GPS plus 3D vision, which keeps it on track better on open lawns. The WORX drifts more noticeably, especially on a hot day when the GPS signal degrades.
YARDCARE M800Plus
The M800Plus is a 2026 model, which means the buyer corpus is thin. I'm watching it because YARDCARE has been aggressive on pricing and the specs are strong for the money. GPS plus 3D vision means it doesn't need the RTK tower, and the slope handling is rated at 32 degrees, which beats most of the competition.
The problem is that I don't have enough longitudinal owner reports to trust it yet. The early reviews are positive, but I've seen this pattern before: glowing month-one reviews and then the "needs help" errors start appearing at month four.
One buyer with a 20-degree hill reported it handled the slope "better than I thought it would even with a little wet grass in the morning," which matches my experience with similar units.
Compared to the LawnMaster OcuMow 400, the M800Plus is the better buy for bermuda because it handles thicker grass. The OcuMow uses optical navigation, which is great for avoiding the satellite problem entirely, but it bogs down in dense growth. Multiple buyers reported it stalling in tall grass, which is the one thing a bermuda owner can't tolerate.
LawnMaster OcuMow 400
The OcuMow is the cheapest unit here at around ~$700, and the optical navigation is a clever solution to the RTK satellite problem. It uses cameras to map the yard instead of GPS, which means it works under heavy tree cover where RTK units fail entirely. That's a real advantage for a lot of yards.
But the OcuMow isn't built for fast-growing grass. The blade system is smaller, and the deck doesn't have the clearance to handle bermuda that's been left for more than a week. One buyer reported it stalling repeatedly in grass that was "maybe 5 inches tall," which is nothing for the A3000.
If you're disciplined about mowing every few days, the OcuMow works. If you're not, you'll be unjamming it weekly.
YARDCARE V100
The V100 uses HD vision navigation, which is a step up from the OcuMow's basic optical system. The obstacle avoidance is genuinely good, and one buyer reported it "avoided the hose thus saving us an expense replacing it." That's the kind of moment that sells these machines.
But vision-only systems have a weakness that matters for bermuda owners: they struggle at dusk. Bermuda grows fastest in the evening when the soil is warm and the sun is low. If you're running the mower at 7 PM to catch the evening growth, the V100's cameras have less light to work with.
One buyer reported the mower getting confused in low light and wandering off course. The A3000's LiDAR doesn't have that problem because it emits its own light.
YARDCARE N1600 PRO
The N1600 PRO is YARDCARE's big-battery RTK unit, and it's aimed at larger lawns. The specs are impressive: RTK plus 3D vision, long runtime, and a price under the ECOVACS flagship. But I'm seeing the map cap problem creep into the buyer reports. One buyer hit a hard limit when mapping a fourth zone, which is the same wall that killed the Goat O1000 for large-yard owners.
The N1600 PRO is a good option if your yard is under the map cap and you have open sky. If you've got a big lawn with trees, you're better off with the A3000's dual LiDAR.
The map cap problem
I mentioned this in my Goat O1000 review and it's worth repeating: the map size cap is the industry's dirty secret. The O1000 claims 0.25 acres a day but caps the map at 10,700 square feet, which is roughly 0.24 acres. That's not a feature limitation, that's a pricing strategy to push buyers to more expensive models.
The A3000 doesn't have that problem, which is part of why it wins for bermuda owners. Bermuda lawns tend to be larger, because the grass does well in open, sunny spaces. If you've got a half-acre of bermuda, you need a mower that can map the whole thing.
Should you buy it?
If you have bermuda grass and you're tired of mowing every three days, the ECOVACS Goat A3000 LiDAR PRO is the best robot mower for bermuda grass I've tested. The zero-turn edging eliminates the string trimmer, the dual LiDAR handles tree cover, and the cut quality on thick grass is genuinely excellent. The app is the weak point, and the price is real, but the machine does the job.
If your yard is under a quarter acre and you're disciplined about mowing frequency, the WORX WO7144 will save you ~$600 and do the job well enough. Just don't let the bermuda get ahead of you.
